In the intensely cutthroat realm of video games, it's common for fresh competitors to disappear as swiftly as they burst on to the stage.
However Battlefield 6 is aiming to change that.
Here comes the latest entry in a established combat FPS franchise commonly described as a more realistic answer to Call of Duty.
The title has not quite been able to rival its most famous rival in regards of units sold or players, but there are signs the latest version could reduce the distance.
A preview weekend giving players a chance to experience the release earlier this year achieved milestones, and the excitement heading into its release has been huge.
Yet the project is still a significant risk for company its creators, which has according to sources invested huge sums of dollars developing it.

Creation Crew and Studio Cooperation
Four development houses have been creating the title under the Battlefield Studios banner.
This includes original series producer the Swedish studio, located in Scandinavia, California's Motive Studios and Ripple Effect in Canada.
Another, the Guildford team, is based in Guildford.
The general manager is the studio head of the both European teams, and explains to reporters that, in terms of what it's providing gamers, "this new game is probably unbeatable."
Responding To Previous Mistakes
The new release arrives after the back of the futuristic Battlefield 2042, released four years ago to a negative feedback it struggled to overcome.
"It's likely that we would find it impossible to make and develop the latest entry absent the insights we acquired in the last release," she explains to us.
Among those insights was to get fans involved early, and the studio started invite-only player trials not long ago.
Their "feedback was explosively positive," states she.
Another omitted ingredient from the last game was a solo experience, which has been reintroduced in this version.
Criterion project head Fas Salim is the individual responsible for "guaranteeing those missions are as entertaining and interesting as feasible for the gamers."
Despite allegations that the scale of the game had put a strain on the various teams partnering across continents to develop the game, he is optimistic about the process.
"Working with varied cultures, varied backgrounds, it's a very fascinating setting to be involved in on a regular basis," he explains.
"This entire method has been an innovation but something very thrilling because we are working with individuals from all over the world."
As for the expectation on the crew, he comments: "There is stress but also it's exciting.
"It's a major venture. It's likely the biggest that the majority of the team have before worked on."
New Developer Brings New Perspective
That's absolutely accurate of a minimum of a single team member, VFX specialist Vlad Kokhan.
The 21-year-old creates the visual ambiance that shape the tone, style, and focus of the single-player campaign.
The artist finished an training period at the developer prior to getting a role at the company, and now works with reduced hours while completing his visual effects qualification at Bournemouth University.
He explains he's a dedicated fan of the franchise, and recalls enjoying the fourth instalment of the series at a pal's home when he was younger.
Being on it now, as his debut career position, "seems unreal actual."
"It's really amazing observing the promotion all around," he shares.
"Realizing that I've put my own thing into the game is really surreal."
Debut Predictions and Ongoing Roadmaps
