Combatants smirk as they travel on the bed of a utility vehicle, hurrying alongside a line of nine corpses and driving in the direction of the setting Sudan's evening sky.

"Look at such work. Look at this act of genocide," one cheers.

The fighter grins as he turns the camera on his person and his companion combatants, their Rapid Support Forces badges on display: "The victims will all be killed like this."

The men are celebrating a mass killing that aid workers fear resulted in the deaths of over 2,000 people in the Sudanese city of al-Fashir last month.

A City Cut Off from the Globe

Following their control of the urban area under blockade for almost an extended period, from August the RSF proceeded to reinforce its position and prevent access for the remaining residents.

Satellite images demonstrate that fighters began to construct a massive earth barrier - a elevated sand barrier - encircling the boundaries of al-Fashir, blocking access routes and blocking relief supplies.

Posts depicting its fighters handing out assistance to inhabitants were disseminated by some individuals, while the militia's public relations unit released multiple clips claiming to show the humane treatment of army captives.

Despite the online effort being deployed by the RSF, their actions in el-Fasher have provoked international condemnation.
