New Particulars Surface About the Discovery of Rob and Michele Singer Reiner's Bodies

Recent details have emerged about the untimely deaths of esteemed director Rob Reiner and visual artist Michele Singer Reiner, whose bodies were discovered at their Los Angeles home home on Sunday.

The Discovery

According to a report quoting a confidential source, a therapist arriving for an session initially became concerned after not being able to enter the home. The therapist then contacted the couple's daughter, Romy Reiner, who resides nearby.

Upon entering the residence, Romy came upon her father's body. Reports state she then fled the house in anguish, without knowing at that moment that her mother's body was there as well. Her roommate who had gone with her then dialed 911. Subsequently, paramedics located Michele Singer Reiner's body.

Criminal Proceedings

Authorities have formally accused the couple's 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, with two counts of murder in the first degree, along with the charge related to a weapon, said to be a knife. He is now being held and denied bail.

Disputed Reports

The confidential informant questioned several initial details. It was stated that while Romy Reiner informed first responders that her brother Nick lived in a guesthouse on the property, she did not identify him as a suspect at that juncture.

Additionally refuted circulated claims that Rob and Michele Singer Reiner had been particularly "apprehensive" about Nick's behavior in the weeks leading up to the incident. Instead the family was "used to working through [Nick's] problems together."

This correction also extends to reports of alleged "unstable" conduct by Nick at a gathering held by Conan O'Brien on the night before the discovery. While the source said they were not in a position to confirm whether Rob had "chastised" his son at the party, they maintained that claims of a "major confrontation" between the two were inaccurate.

Ongoing Inquiry Details

As stated by law enforcement sources, the coroner had not yet established as of Tuesday whether the Reiners died Saturday night or on Sunday. Some media reports indicated the condition of their bodies suggested they had been deceased for some hours.

Nick Reiner was apprehended at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Sunday in the Exposition Park area, some 15 miles from the residence. He was set to be arraigned on Tuesday, but his legal counsel, Alan Jackson, said his client had not been medically cleared and would not be present until Wednesday or later.
