The House investigative committee has published a set of roughly 70 images secured from the holdings of deceased found guilty sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

This represents the third disclosure from a tranche of in excess of 95,000 photographs the panel has obtained from Epstein's property. It features pictures of excerpts from the book Lolita written across a woman's body, and obscured photos of women's international passports.

This disclosure occurs mere hours before the 19 December cut-off for the Department of Justice to disclose all records related to its probe into Epstein.

"These new images pose further inquiries about what exactly the Justice Department has in its possession," stated the ranking member of the panel, Robert Garcia.

What's in the Images Released

Some of the images made public on Thursday depict Epstein conversing with academic and activist Noam Chomsky aboard a personal aircraft; Bill Gates seen beside a female whose face is obscured; Steve Bannon positioned at a desk opposite Epstein, and previous Alphabet president Sergey Brin at a dinner gathering.

These are the newest wealthy, prominent men to be pictured in Epstein property photographs released by the committee - earlier disclosed images also depict US President Donald Trump and past president Bill Clinton, as well as director Woody Allen, previous US Secretary of the Treasury Larry Summers, counsel Alan Dershowitz, Andrew Mountbatton-Windsor, and additional individuals.

Being pictured in the photos is not proof of any misconduct, and a number of the photographed figures have asserted they were not involved in Epstein's unlawful actions.

In a statement released with the photograph disclosure, Democratic members on the US House Oversight Committee noted the Epstein estate's representatives did not provide context or dates for the pictures.

"Photographs were chosen to provide the American people with transparency into a typical cross-section of the photographs received from the property, and to provide understanding into Epstein's network and his extremely disturbing activities," the statement reads.

The publication also features several photos of passages from the Vladimir Nabokov novel Lolita written in dark ink across various areas of a female's body, like her chest, foot, hip, and back. Lolita tells the account of a minor who was exploited by a adult literature professor.

An example of a excerpt from the novel scrawled across a woman's upper body states, "Lo-lee-ta: the end of the tongue traveling of three steps down the roof of the mouth to land, at three, on the teeth".

Additionally, there are a collection of images of women's identification and identification documents from states around the world, such as Lithuania, Russia, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine.

A large portion of the data on the documents, including names and DOBs, is redacted but the House Oversight Committee stated in a statement that the travel documents belong to "women whom Jeffrey Epstein and his co-conspirators were engaging".

An additional image depicts Epstein positioned at a table closely surrounded by three female figures whose features have been obscured - one individual has her palm on Epstein's torso under his shirt, and a second is leaning to examine a adjacent device. Epstein can be seen to be aiding the third fasten a wristband.

An additional photo released is a capture of digital messages from an unnamed sender who says they have been provided "some girls" and are demanding "$one thousand dollars per girl".

Photo Disclosure Occurs Prior to DOJ Due Date

The committee has thousands of photographs in its possession from the Epstein property, which are "both disturbing and everyday," its announcement on Thursday explained.

The Congressional committee first legally compelled the holdings of Epstein, who was found dead in a New York jail in 2019 while pending legal proceedings on accusations of human trafficking, in August.

The images and documents the Epstein estate's representatives gave to the committee are distinct from what is commonly referred to "the Epstein documents". Those are records within the justice department's control associated with its separate probe into Epstein.

Under the Transparency Act, which the President made law last month, the DOJ has until 19 December to disclose its documents. The scope of what's contained in the DOJ's documents is not publicly known, and it's expected that a significant portion of the material will be heavily obscured, akin to the committee's releases
